Speech Therapy

What is Speech Therapy?

Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology (also known as Speech Therapy) specializes in providing evaluation and treatment to children and adolescents with speech, language and communication difficulties. Our therapists use a variety of interventions to address apraxia, fluency, receptive and expressive language, among other conditions, to help your child improve overall communication development.

The main goal of Speech Therapy is to help children communicate with the people around them, as well as understand and interact with them successfully. From developing phonological skills to expanding vocabulary, to enhancing the ability to participate in conversations, our Speech Therapists support children of all ages on a wide range of skills.

Speech and Occupational Therapists will often work together to maximize functional progress during therapy, to help children advance to their next therapeutic level.
