Carmen Rojas, OTR/L
With more than 30 years of experience, Carmen is a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist in the state of Oregon. She founded Kites Pediatrics in 2015, starting one of the only Pediatric Occupational Therapy Clinics in Marion County.
About Carmen
Carmen specializes in the Sensory Integration approach from graduate-level training at the Ayres Clinic. She is a feeding specialist trained at a 1 1⁄2 year-graduate traineeship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles Feeding Clinic. Carmen is also trained in Multi-diagnostic evaluations through the graduate traineeship mentioned above. She completed NDT training, as well as Conductive Education principles training (Peto Institute-Budapest, Hungary), and manual therapy in order to provide effective intervention to children with Motor control impairments such as Cerebral Palsy, acquired injuries to the nervous system, and overall developmental delays. She trained in the Alert Program of self-regulation, and in the sound-activated vestibulo-visual protocol called the Astronaut training. Carmen obtained training in visual function evaluation and intervention from Dr. Josephine Moore at Boston University, and through California Children Services. Her OT intervention identifies, establishes, and creatively addresses functional, measurable, objective, meaningful, and client-centered goals.
